I’m back from Bristol. Sangat penat hari ni. Ditambah dengan tido sebelum Maghrib, aku terasa tido-petang-effect lepas bangun tadi.
Kebetulan orang Bristol baru buat perjumpaan raya pada hari Sabtu. So, aku sempatlah join sambutan raya orang Malaysia kat Bristol. Malam sebelum itu pergi tolong-tolong diorang cucuk satay.
UNO
We did play UNO in Bristol but there are some many rules changes that left me being so unprepared. I lose 2 times in a row for the single challenge. Zeah, I really hope you were there. At least I didn’t feel that baaad when I lose to you but ouch, it hurts to lose 2 times in a row.
Then, we had a group game which I introduced to them. Yeah UNO group game. But with some additional new rules which is pretty devastating. Abg Tra was with Abg Lie. Kak Wan was with Sabil and I was with Intan. But guess what? Me and Intan won it all before. 2 of us manage to finish it even before one of them finish.
[Baju raya yang aku pakai tuh baju Cikgu (Bristol). Aku tak bawak baju raya sendiri]
But honestly, that was the scariest UNO game I ever play. It was really tense with additional rule which say that we have to take 7 cards if we forgot to say UNO. That was really throw me out of my comfort zone.
Designer Outlet
Hari Ahad, aku, Abang Tra, Sabil dan Intan pergi Wales. First time aku pergi ke Wales. Tapi tak jalan-jalan pun kat tempat-tempat pelancongan, instead kitorang pergi ke Designer Outlet kat Brigend, dekat-dekat Cardiff.
Kitorang sampai dalam pukul 12.30, pukul 5.30 baru abis shopping. But guys shopping is SO MUCH FUN. If it is 5 hours, it does mean that we buy a lot of stuff.
Shopping with girls is hm… depending on type of girls.
Kalau jenis pergi, cari benda yang nak beli, try on, pastu beli. That is type perempuan berotak lelaki seperti … oops, walaupun lepas bulan posa, tapi tetap tak bleh mengumpat, ye tak?
Kemudian memerlukan approval untuk barang yang nak dibeli, tapi the answer I should give is always ‘it does look nice’ with enough passion while expressing it otherwise it will sound insencere and may be the sign that the things that they wanna buy is not worth buying while actually I was cranky for being hugry.
Back to shopping in Wales, lepas abis shopping, kitorang pergi menghantar Sabil kat rumah kawan dia kat Pontypridd. Terus kitorang tetiba crash rumah terbuka bebudak Malaysia kat sana sebab nak tumpang solat. Ramai gak bebudak Malaysia kat area tu. Banyak yang amik kursus ..er.. aeronautik ker yang kapal terbang tuh?
Pastu balik.
Conclusion
Raya tahun ini agak best. Beraya sakan. Okay I lose, you girls win…
cabut gigi bongsu shouldnt be that hard. At least thats what ppl think, or at least, thats what happened to the others.
Tp rahang aku lak sakit. Darah keluar dr mulut bukan main byk lg. Kira kalau nk blakon citer hantu, mmg boleh.
Menangis2 aku smentara nk dpt pain killer. Zeah dan yasmin tukang melayan kerenah aku. Sakit woo.
Dalam kul 5, mkn painkiller, dah ok.
Pastu aku bsiap2 nk kluar. Dh pakai jeans dan sweater. Datang nurse lelaki cabut jarum yg salur makanan/ubat dr tgn kiri aku, terus aku pitam.
Zeah panik. Aku mmg x sedar. Sedar dlm agaknya 5 minit lpas tu, 4-5 org nurse keliling aku. Doktor pun ada.
Diorg cam tak pnah dgar kes pitam sbb phobia jarum - yes, im that different.
Last-last takleh balik. So terpaksa aku tido sini mlm ni. Nih baru je mkn biskut cicah air teh. Nikmatnya… Tak terkata.
Zeah, and yasmin. Thanks a lot. Kak dan abang, jgn bgtau mak fasal adik terstranded kat hospital. Risau nanti.
Oh, hospital nih ada tv sorang satu. Intrnet pun bleh surf tp kena bayar kot.
Just when I think that things couldn’t get any worse, I got an email from Gulf Air:-
Gulf Air flight GF 0280 scheduled to depart from Bahrain to Kuala Lumpur at 2025 on Monday 08 Sep will now depart at 2125 on Monday 08 Sep.
We regret any inconvenience.
Baru je beberapa minit lepas aku post tadi.
That’s nice! Now the plane is delayed and my parents are going to arrive in KL by 10.40am, just 5 mins after the supposed KL-Penang flight departed. And with no check-in from Heathrow whatsoever, it certainly doesn’t help.
Aku baru sampai dari London. Dalam 40 minit lepas.
Status : Restless
Disebabkan lain syarikat penerbangan (KL - Penang naik MAS), diorang takleh check in kan.
Tapi, prosedur check-in kat KLIA mesti sejam sebelum berlepas. Flight KL-Penang pulak 50 minit selepas sampai. Dengan nak pergi amik bagasi lagi, memang tak sempatnya.
Aku bagitau kat abah suruh beli tiket baru. Tapi sekarang aku rasa bersalah sebab tak attack habis-habisan orang kaunter Gulf Air tadi. Sejak bila pulak tak boleh check-in baggage sampai Penang? Apa guna kaunter pertukaran tuh dibuat kalau takleh check in lain syarikat penerbangan?
Aah.
Aku dah call Ticketing Office MAS, diorang dah conformkan takleh buat apa-apa kecuali mak dan abah sendiri ke tiket kaunter bila sampai dan deal on their own.
Aaaah!!
Status: Tertekan.
Aaaah!!
Pagi nanti pukul 2.40 pagi (waktu UK), aku akan call mak dan abah once diorang sampai KL. Till then, I pray that a miracle will happen and they will hav a smooth way home.
Lepas kitorang beli barang makanan kat Somerfield, kitorang pun masuk town centre. Alih alih kitorang salah masuk one way dari arah bertentangan. Waktu kitorang perasaan yang kitorang salah jalan, terus nampak ada kereta polis kat sebelah kitorang.
Zeah tengah drive waktu tu.
Semua orang lega tapi masih lagi tergamam.
Fuh, nasib tak kena saman. Kami akhiri perjalanan malam ni dengan mengekori kereta polis balik tempat caravan.
I’ve just feeling tired today. Probably because I had to go to Sunderland Hospital for my dental appointment. Gonna have my wisdom tooth removed in 8-11 weeks. It had gone bad - perhaps infected from the bad tooth close to it before, or probably because the way it came out.
Anyway, Sunderland from Durham is nearly one hour by bus. Coming back and forth, and meeting my supervisor at 3, not having lunch - I was so damn exhausted. Thanks God that Mom cooked my favourite spicy prawn - that recovered me while watching Friends on TV.
Last nite mom and dad were giggling about our experience in Amsterdam. Before departing, Andros asked me to tell him if I’ve ever gonna cross by a place call Red Light District. It’s a place where the prostitutes are finding their customer. But in a lil bit different way - they are all stay in behind the mirror advertising themselves. Well, that is what I heard.
Of course that is the place I don’t want to bring my parents to. It is just doesn’t fit - that’s pretty obvious, I should say.
So, when Kak Nur told me that she’s planning to go there when we arrive, that is the moment I asked them to just walk first and leave me and my parents behind. Ah yeah, that’s why the whole drama in the previous post happened (Andros, if you are reading this, I tell you about it later eh). But still it is for two different reasons - first, I don’t want the rest of the group to feel obliged to walk slowly just because my parents had to; second, coz they want to go to red-light so..
But the irony is, I got lost and while the rest of the group head to the flee market, I ended up bringing my parents to the red light district where lot of sex shops lie over there- selling dvd and things I don’t wanna tell in my blog. Hey, I thought when you say it is place for prostitution, it is supposed to be dark and kinda evilish look. It is actually by the canal and quite nice place to take a walk. I didn’t realize it is the red-light district up until I see there are 5 women in their bikinis behind the mirror of a shop.
I hissed to my mom, ‘mak, tu pelacur tu’ (mom, they are the prostitutes), and mom is surely surprised. That is totally not my proudest moment as a son - bringing my parents to see that. Haha. I thought it is kinda funny in a way.
I didn’t talk to my dad about it along the road but surely mom and dad talked about it. They are both
laughing about it - as those prostitutes are actually are not that pretty, some are fat and pretty much not arousing (whoa, that’s a cruel way of telling, but ..)
I told Mahadi, ‘hey, I thought they are supposed to be pretty (and hot). The prostitutes’
Mahadi said, ‘No they are not’.
Ah, so much for my imagination.
[Pix: This is actually in the red light district. See.. kinda pretty innit. That’s why I dun know that it is ‘the place’]
Okeh video log lagi. Disebabkan aku tak sempat nak edit semua skali dan bubuh sebagai satu fail panjang, jadi aku boh sikit-sikit jer. This video is 2 minutes. Video waktu parents aku jalan-jalan ketika hari kedua diorang kat UK itu hari.
